Dr. John R. St. Clair and his nephew, Dr. James T. St. Clair, are dedicated to providing excellence in the field of orthodontics through quality service and technical expertise. Always on the cutting edge of new technology, both Dr. John and Dr. James have assisted thousands of children and adults in their common goal to achieve the most beautiful smiles.

 

 

Dr. John St. Clair is a life-long resident of West Texas. He attended South Plains Junior College and North Texas State University. Dr. John was accepted to the University of Texas Dental School in 1970 and graduated in 1974 with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. He then was accepted and completed his postdoctoral specialty degree in Orthodontics in 1976 where he earned a Certificate in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics as well as a Master of Science degree.

After graduation, Dr. John served as an orthodontist in the United States Army. In 1978, he moved to Lubbock and started his private practice. Dr. John and his wife, Janette, are the proud parents of three daughters, Angela, Michelle and Natalie, and one son, David.

Dr. James St. Clair is also a native West Texan graduating from Morton High School in 1989. Having attended both Texas Tech University and McMurry University, he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. His Doctor of Dental Surgery degree was awarded from Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas. After graduation, Dr. James did his orthodontic residency at the University of Texas - Houston Dental Branch where he earned a Certificate in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, as well as a Master of Science degree.

Dr. James St. Clair and his family came to Lubbock in the summer of 1999 to join the family practice. He and his wife, Shanna, are the proud parents of three beautiful daughters: Madeleine, Emily and Abigail.

Dr. John and Dr. James are Diplomates of the American Board of Orthodontics and members of the American Association of Orthodontics, American Dental Association and the Texas Dental Association. Both Dr. John and Dr. James have the honor of teaching the Damon Philosophy of Treatment at the University of Texas Dental Branch in Houston, Texas.
